AZ CAR, s. r. o. accelerated dispatches during 3-shift operation by introducing WMS system
AZ CAR s.r.o. provides spare parts for more than 400 types of cars and commercial vehicles.
Since the establishment of a retail shop in Gbeľany with a focus on direct sales and distribution of spare parts to car service stations, AZ CAR s.r.o. has been operating on the Slovak market since 2001.
As a wholesaler and distributor of spare parts, the company gradually expanded its operations in the region - Žilina, Rajec, Prievidza, later Považská Bystrica, Bytča and Trenčín.
Thanks to the construction of a new distribution hall, 83 delivery trucks and a team of 120 people, today AZ CAR s.r.o. distributes spare parts 2 to 3 times a day all over Slovakia.

AZ CAR s.r.o. has more than 330,000 items in stock, 85-90% of which are active. On an area of 2000 m² with a multi-level shelving system (4 floors), the items were divided by suppliers, which led to inefficient use of the warehouse capacity. The quantity of goods, the variety of goods and packaging, as well as the frequency of the necessary operations increased the demands on the functioning of the warehouse as a whole. The guarantee of speed of delivery within the B2B spare parts distribution was a prerequisite for AZ CAR. The company guarantees delivery of goods on the next day after ordering throughout Slovakia.
Redistributing goods to 83 delivery trucks in multiple directions with dynamically increasing volumes of goods, caused errors and delays in distribution within the partner network. A specific prioritization process, where the corporate store handled priority order processing, complicated the warehouse organization.
The distribution warehouse is connected to the Helios Orange ERP system. The warehousemen worked using "pen and paper". Paper documents were used to perform logistics operations. During the receipt and dispensing as well as the actual transfers in the warehouse, the warehousemen had to record everything manually. To eliminate errors, the company introduced a multi-step control in the picking steps. The necessary measures occupied human capacity with administration.

Introduction of the WMS system
The implementation of HighJump Warehouse Edge took 3 months. The implementation was preceded by a detailed analysis of all processes, the creation of a warehouse map to the training of the operator and personal assistance in the start-up of the system.

Creating reports is an additional benefit for the management staff. The generated data serves perfectly for the organization of the individual warehousemen. "We have always wanted to motivate our people and at the same time simplify their work. The mobile terminals serve as working tools for the warehousemen, they are more accurate and their work is safer. The WMS system gives us performance information and we can motivate even more."

- Already in the first week after the implementation of the HighJump Warehouse Edge WMS, the company was able to handle 13,345 orders, 29,095 lines.
- Currently, employees work 3 shifts / 7 days a week, with up to 25 warehouse staff working at peak times and the average is around 15 warehouse staff, 2,234 orders, 4,450 lines.
- The system is set for dynamic growth and AZ CAR s.r.o. has the ability to introduce new procedures and technologies using the WMS system.
