Sensors - barcode readers

Sensors - barcode readers

Scanners - also colloquially known as readers and scanners - enable fast and error-free reading of the barcode. Then export the data to a computer, cash register, or any device that supports any of the industry standard interfaces. The transfer takes place via USB cable or wirelessly - usually using Bluetooth technology.

In terms of sensing principle, sensors are divided into laser and digital. Laser scanners use single or multiple beam technology that emits from laser diodes and are capable of reading barcodes from a greater distance. The principle of digital scanners is the same as that of digital cameras, i.e. the code is photographed and the image is then read by an integrated decoder. The advantage is the reading of 1D and all types of 2D codes, in multiple directions.

We take several parameters into account when selecting encoders:

  • ruggedness, robustness and durability,
  • ergonomics and sensor size,
  • distance, speed and scanning capabilities,
  • display size.

We offer scanners for logistics, wholesale and retail, goods receiving and dispensing, inventory, healthcare, light industry and other industries from renowned manufacturers: Zebra, Honeywell, Datalogic.
