Thanks to EVIDEI, Unilabs Slovakia reduced inventory time by more than half
Unilabs Slovakia has been providing laboratory diagnostics services in Slovakia since 1997. It is part of the international Unilabs network, one of the largest diagnostic laboratory networks in Europe, providing a full range of laboratory, pathology, genetic and imaging services for patients on four continents and in 15 countries.
Unilabs Slovakia has been looking for a system solution for inventory and asset management for a long time, because inventory in the form of pen and paper was unthinkable for them anymore. They needed to simplify it, make it more transparent and perform inventories faster and more accurately, given that they needed to inventory almost 30,000 items of property in about 60 centers across Slovakia. After the first unsuccessful attempts, they approached KODYS Slovakia with a request for a solution proposal.
"RFID technology is really fast and invaluable in inventory management. Before the introduction of EVIDEI, we employed the entire department with inventory. Today, it only takes two people to walk around the centre with the terminal and consult on the spot for discrepancies. Inventory time has been reduced by more than half and, most importantly for us, the physical inventory of assets now takes place almost without disrupting the work cycle in the laboratory."
