Thermal transfer ribbons
KODYS Slovensko® offers high quality original thermal transfer ribbons from ZEBRA Technologies and other renowned manufacturers. For all TTR tapes supplied by us we can provide material originality certificates "datasheets" and safety data sheets.
Thermal Transfer Ribbons (TTR - Thermal Transfer Ribbon) are used as a dye medium in thermal transfer printers, whereby the heat of the print head is used to transfer the desired graphics to the printed material itself. The TTR ribbons we supply ensure the highest possible print quality and also have a protective layer that prolongs the life of the print head.
Our company supplies TTR ribbons for all types of thermal transfer printers, suitable for any label material available. The correct selection of a particular type of TTR ribbon depends on the desired application, where the focus should be on:
- the type of material to be printed
- the durability requirements of the printed labels
- Printing durability requirements (against high temperatures, abrasion, abrasion, chemicals, etc.)

Wax thermal transfer ribbons (wax)
Wax thermal transfer ribbons are suitable for printing most matte and coated paper labels. With a combination of paper labels, it is the most economical solution for product and package labelling. Wax TTR ribbons exhibit good print quality for both normal and rotated barcodes.
Wax/resin thermal transfer ribbons
Wax/resin thermal transfer ribbons are suitable for printing more durable materials such as coated papers or plastic materials. When the appropriate material is used, wax/resin TTR ribbons exhibit high print quality for more complex and smaller graphics and provide higher abrasion resistance.
Resin thermal transfer ribbons (resin)
Resin thermal transfer ribbons are suitable for printing special, mostly plastic materials. With a combination of suitable plastic labels, resin TTR ribbons exhibit high abrasion resistance and extreme resistance to chemicals and high temperatures, up to temperatures as high as 575°C. The use of resin tapes replaces the need for label lamination in many cases.
Thermal transfer cartridges for printer ZEBRA ZD420
Thermal transfer cartridges are designed for ZEBRA ZD420 printers only. Their great advantage is easy loading into the printer, which saves time and costs for training the printer operator. The cartridges contain thermal transfer ribbons in three qualities - wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons with a width of 110 mm.
Resin thermal transfer ribbons for textile labels and ribbons
These tapes are mainly designed for printing all available textile materials, especially nylon and satin. They are resistant to washing, cleaning, ironing and steam pressing.
